Ridiculous Turkish claim that Hippocrates was...a Turk! Same thing they same about some of his medical students while they also say that Herodotus was also a Turk! They even placed a statue of Hippocrates in a Turkish city! Take keep doing that with almost every Greek historical figure! That's absurd, because they Turks appeared in the early Middle Ages. They came down from the steppes of Mongolia to Asia Minor whose most cities were Greek since prehistory. They were nomads just like they Huns, the Vandals, and the Goths and they are placed by most US school Global Studies/World history books to that group of nations called the Barbarians (Huns, Goths, Vandals, etc) which were nomadic people and that is because of their primitive nomadic life that did not allow them develop any advanced form culture, civilization, science or art. Turkish people did not exist in the times of Hippocrates, so this claim is at least ridiculous and addacious!!!
