Hilarious Songs of the Phallophoroi in the Profane Carnival of Ayianna (St Anna) in North Euboea which answer the Church's attempt to ban their ancient festival!!!

Τα Πύθεια  -  The Oracle of Pytheia
This song was written when the Metropolitan of Chalkida spoke against the Profane Carnivals (Phallophoroi dance with profane songs and floats) throughout Greece, including St Anna's:

Μια ψ.... αρματωμένη  - An armed C@@@
This song starts with a pretension of Byzantine Music, the Liturgical music of the Greek Orthodox Church, and then it switches to folk music talking about a horney monk who came all the way down from Mt Athos to look for girls!

Στο σημείο αυτό η αείμνηστη Σαμίου δήλωσε ότι δυσκολεύτηκε για να πάρει την απόφαση να τα κάνει CD, όμως αυτά τα τραγούδια όπως είπε και η Παναγιωταρέα-που πέραν από δημοσιογράφος είναι και έξοχη φιλόλογος-είναι η λαογραφία μας και έχουν τις ρίζες στους στην αρχαία Ελλάδα - Carnival Songs from Greece with satyrical/shocking lyrics, dances, and theatrical rituals that go back to ancient Greece and its Dionysiac fertility rites
